Will Obeid

Based in New York City, Will Obeid is an experienced real estate professional with expertise in developing hospitality properties. In 2014, he established Arcade Capital LLC to focus on developing and managing real estate in the global wellness economy. As the principal of Arcade, Will Obeid guides the firm’s investment portfolio, which focuses on boutique urban and destination resorts, residential properties, and distressed assets with significant upside potential. In 2017, he purchased the Minnewaska Lodge, which Arcade Capital is currently renovating into a premier wellness resort destination in New York’s Hudson Valley.

Between 2017 and 2019, Will Obeid also served as Head of Hospitality at Kushner Companies. In this role, he acquired several hotels for the company. Mr. Obeid also oversaw development projects, providing key insights into the process of developing lifestyle hotels. He played an instrumental role in the development of the group’s Wave Resort, located in Long Branch, NJ.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Obeid served as President and CEO of Gemini Real Estate Advisors LLC in New York. Throughout his tenure with the firm, he built a real estate portfolio worth $1.5 billion, including 15 hotels and more than 4.3 million square feet of retail space.

At Gemini, Will Obeid created two distinctive lifestyle hospitality brands: The Jade Hotel and The Gem Hotel. The Jade Hotel was designed as an upper-upscale, full-service boutique hotel that showcased the charm of local neighborhoods such as New York’s Greenwich Village. Mr. Obeid studied classical architecture and assembled a winning team of architects and interior design experts during the project. The result was a hotel that won praise from guests and the media and received the 2014 Stanford White Award for Commercial, Civic, and Institutional Architecture. Meanwhile, The Gem Hotel was a pioneer in the highly successful, urban “micro-hotel” concept later used by several other hospitality brands.
